Dobrý den, posílám fotky z poslední stavby. Když jsem viděl, že Kovozávody vydaly Boeing P-26 Peashooter, neváhal jsem a hned ho pořídil. Kdysi, snad ještě před revolucí, jsem jako kluk jsem stavil prastarého od Revellu (vůbec nevím, jak jsme ho tehdy sehnali). Tehdy to byl model i typ letadla jak z jiného vesmíru a od té doby jsem si Peashootera oblíbil. Současný stroj od KP jsem doplnil kokpitem z leptů Brengun a motorem od Radial Engines & Wheels. Boeing P-26 oplývá spoustou zajímavých kamufláží, nakonec jsem zvolil standardní ale atraktivní provedení od 17. Pursuit Squadron, Michigan 1934. Stavělo se to docela dobře, byť místy je model trochu hrubší a bačkory kol a VOP se lepí „natupo“. Také jsem musel upravit kola, aby se do bačkor vešla. Výplety jsem provedl z vlákna Uschi – tahle fáze mě stála dost nervů a téma dalších peashooterů prozatím odkládám. Jednou se k němu ale chci vrátit – otázkou je, zda v další US kamufláži, nebo v čínské či filipínské:-). S pozdravem Petr Záras
Hello, I’m sending you photos from my last build. When I saw that Kovozávody released the Boeing P-26 Peashooter, I didn’t hesitate and bought it right away. Once, before 1989, as a kid, I built an ancient one from Revell (I have no idea how we got it back then). Back then, it was a model and type of aircraft from another universe, and I’ve loved the Peashooter ever since. I added a cockpit from Brengun etchings to the current machine from KP and an engine from Radial Engines & Wheels. The Boeing P-26 has a lot of interesting camouflages, so I ended up choosing the standard but attractive design from the 17th Pursuit Squadron, Michigan 1934. The model is quite well built, although in places the model is a bit rough and the wheel caps and VOP are glued on „butt-up“. I also had to modify the wheels so that they fit into the caps. I made the wire strings from Uschi thread – this phase cost me a lot of nerves and I’m putting off the topic of other Peashooters for now. But I want to come back to it one day – the question is whether in another US camouflage, or in Chinese or Philippine :-). Best regards, Petr Záras
