Velmi mě potěšilo, že firma KP vydala novou stavebnici modelu L-23 Super Blaník. V roce 1993 jsem se totiž na tomto typu, konkrétně na letounu L-23 D-4414, učil létat (v klubu Flugsportverein Herrenberg nedaleko Stuttgartu v Německu), když mi bylo 14 let. Před několika lety jsem si koupil resinovou stavebnici od CMR, která je samozřejmě také vynikající, ale spíše pro zkušené modeláře. Díky vstřikované stavebnici od KP je nyní snadné získat pěkný model L-23. Ze stavebnice CMR jsem postavil D-4414, na kterém jsem létal. Protože se mi líbí oranžové zbarvení OK-0235, zvolil jsem tuto barevnou kombinaci pro svůj model KP. Červené pruhy (standardní barevné schéma od Let) letounu D-4414 jsou na obou arších obtisků (CMR i KP). Pro svůj model jsem tedy musel vytisknout pouze registrační číslo a německé vlajky.Chtěl jsem svůj model ukázat ve vzduchu, proto jsem upravil dvě figurky. Bezpečnostní pásy pro figurky jsem vyrobil z hliníkové fólie. U OK-0235 jsem použil obtisky ze stavebnice, abych napodobil bezpečnostní pásy. Do kokpitů obou modelů jsem přidal menší páčky a mikrofony. Vyrobil jsem je z natažených výlisků. Oba modely jsou natřeny barvami od Revellu (emailové barvy) a štětcem. Oranžové pruhy na křídlech modelu OK-0235 jsem vytiskl na bílou obtiskovou fólii a černé obrysy na průhlednou obtiskovou fólii. Po nalepení oranžových pruhů jsem je přetřel stejnou oranžovou barvou, kterou jsem použil na trup. Poté jsem na ně umístil černé obrysy.Po nalepení obtisků jsem modely zafixoval čirým lesklým lakem. Po namontování posledních dílů jsem je ještě jednou zafixoval čirým saténovým lakem.

I was very happy to see that KP made the new kit of the L-23 Super Blanik. As I learned flying on the L-23 D-4414 in 1993 (Flugsportverein Herrenberg, close to Stuttgart, Germany), when I was 14 years old. Some years ago I bought the resin kit from CMR, which is also an excellent kit, of cause for experianced modelers. KP´s injected kit makes it easy now, to get a nice model of the L-23. Out of the CMR kit I made the D-4414, I flew. As I like the orange painting of the OK-0235, I chose this paint scheme for my KP model. The red stripes (standard paint scheme from Let) of the D-4414 are on both decal sheets (CMR & KP). So I only had to print the registration number and the German flags for my model. I wanted to show my model airborne, so I adapted two figures. The seat belts for the figures I made out of aluminium foil. For the OK-0235 I used the decals from the kit, to imitate the seat belts. I added the smaller levers and microphones inside the cockpits of both kits. I made them from stretched sprues. Both models are painted with colors from Revell (enamels) and brush. The orange stripes on the wings of the OK-0235 I printed on white decal foil and the black outlines on transparent decal foil. After I attached the orange stripes, I overpainted them with the same orange I used for the fuselage. After that, I placed the black outlines above. I sealed the models after attaching the the decals with clear, shiny varnish. After I fitted the final parts I sealed them once again with clear, silk varnish.
